Professor, Speaker, Facilitator, Coach

Scott Rutherford is a professor, speaker, facilitator, and executive coach with over 25 years of Fortune 500 global experience helping individuals and organizations unlock their potential. Today, Scott works with McKinsey as an External Advisor, specializing in retreats, offsites, leadership, and capability-building, while also teaching as a Professor at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, where he has won awards for courses that focus on Leadership Development, Integrative Thinking, and Management Consulting. His residential MBA Leadership Retreats are a cornerstone of most programs and a transformative highlight for students.

As Executive Director of Rotman’s Leadership Development Lab and Core Faculty in the Self-Development Lab, Scott helps students and professionals sharpen their leadership skills, deepen confidence, and reconnect with their motivations.

In addition to serving on several Boards and leading wilderness and white-water retreats for former colleagues, clients, and students, Scott spends his spare time running and restoring a rustic horse farm near Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada.
